The RoboFest 2022 school festival has ended. The competition, held as the second robot festival, took place on April 10, 2022 at the Park Inn by Radisson Baku Hotel. 122 students from 20 public and private schools took part in the competition. The event was supported by Caspian Education Company, STAREX Logistics, GemZa Group, Deirvlon Technologies and Innovative Business Product.
The main referee of the festival has been assigned to Seckin Aksoy, the founder of the Maker Center STEAM in Turkey, and Kamran Gasimov, the Executive Director (CEO) of Deirvlon Technologies, a robotics specialist, who joined the team to provide additional support.
Robofest's mission among schoolchildren:
-Creating excitement and interest for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Art and Computer Science;
-Develop problem-solving skills, as well as teamwork, creative thinking and communication skills;
-to prepare to excel in higher education and technological career.
Students competed in 4 different robotics categories at the festival:
• VEX IQ Challenge (9-17 years old)
• VEX GO Challenge (7-10 years old)
• Lego Line Follower (7-12 years old) (13-17 years old)
• Lego Sumo (7-12 years old) (13-17 years old)
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in each category were awarded medals,diplomas and various prizes.
